Pocket Opening Corrections – Gaping Straight Pockets

Have you ever noticed a straight pocket opening peaking? Of course, we will always get a slight peaking on a straight pocket opening because of the hip movement in the same area, but this correction will definitely minimize the issue.

Check out my Instagram account to see photos of straight pockets peaking out.

The trick is to reduce about 1/4” only at the top waistline area on the leg panel. As you can see, this is the opposite of what we do on a curved pocket opening shown in the previous video. Also, try to arch the pocket a bit instead of making it entirely straight, as the latter will make the peaking worse.

Does anyone else out there love pockets?!
