Women’s Cape Sewing Pattern
~ Make this cape sewing pattern with mid-weight woven fabrics like wool/polyester suiting, or even satin or velvet! The cape is lined, which gives you even more options for customization!
For main fabric (52″ width):
~ 2 yards (1.85 meters)
For lining (52″ width):
~ 1 3/4 yards (1.6 meters)
For fusible (iron-on) interlining (min. 26″ width):
~ 1 yard (0.9 meters)
In addition to yardage, you will also need 5 buttons and twill tape for button loops.
~ This is a one-size-fits-most pattern and is great for sizes XS-L. If you choose to not do stitching to separate a “sleeve”, an XL will also work for this pattern.
~ A serger or overlock machine is always nice to have; however, it is not a requirement for this pattern.
~ This cape makes a beautiful cover-up for a wedding or special occasion, as well as suits all a great gift for others!
~ This is a women’s cape PDF sewing pattern that you print out to use. Once your payment is confirmed, you will then be able to download you pattern instantly as one file! After you download the pattern, you can then print the pattern on letter or A4 paper.
~ I try to make the instructions easy to follow along with simple wording, making sewing a fun project! The pattern pieces are all professionally drawn with CAD (computer-aided design) illustrations for professional quality. There are clear, step-by-step photos for each step of the sewing process.
